The District of North Vancouver’s Official Community Plan (OCP) was developed through a two-year-long community engagement initiative called Identity DNV 2030. This OCP established a network of connected town and village centres, and directs future growth and renewal to these centre. The Lower Lynn Town Centre was identified as one of the four key growth centres.
Redevelopment of the Lower Lynn Town Centre will rejuvenate residential areas, protect employment lands, increase connectivity between neighbourhoods, and establish a central community focal point that serves as a hub for community services and facilities.
This redevelopment is guided by the Lower Lynn Town Centre Implementation Plan, providing more detailed policies and actions, and design guidelines outlining specific form, character and streetscape elements to help shape the centre’s distinct character and identity. This plan will set the direction for the future redevelopment of the NSWC Lands.
