Frank Ducote is one of the most experienced urban designers in British Columbia, having worked at the municipal level for over 25 years, and for the last decade as a private consultant in his own practice. Frank has served as a Senior Planner and Senior Urban Designer for the City of Vancouver for over eleven years and has held similar roles in San Diego’s City Architect’s Office, the City of North Vancouver and the District of North Vancouver. Frank was the staff urban designer for the four District of North Vancouver Town Centres, each of which are now seeing their initial developments. His extensive and diverse public sector career affords him a special vantage point with which to engage municipal staffs, councils and the general public. Also, Frank currently serves on the District of West Vancouver Design Review Committee.
In addition to his private practice, he continues to teach courses in the SFU City Program in Public Realm, Integrated Neighbourhoods and Visual Communication.
